Pretty much anyone who talks with me about architecture for more than five minutes knows that I’m a huge Jeff Shelton fan. So when I was hired to photograph El Zapato in Santa Barbara, I may have cried tears of joy. The owner was super generous and even let me explore her private penthouse and the roof! Here are some funky detail shots I took just for fun, when she said I could stay longer and do some creative work. The rest are available on her AirBnB listing. What a joy, that anyone can stay here and take in the unique architectural style of Jeff Shelton.
